Self-help letter builder
Records request letter.
Answer a few questions and get a written request for your association's records, ready to print and send. It cites the Nevada statute that gives owners the right to review them.
Before you send it
- Sign it and keep a copy. Certified mail with a return receipt gives you proof of the date it was received. Emailing a copy to the manager as well is fine.
- Mark your calendar for 21 days after delivery.
- If the association does not respond, the next step is usually a complaint to the Real Estate Division. See complaints to the Division.
Need help after that? If the records show a problem, or the association refuses, start a free case review.
This tool produces a general form letter based on what you type and on Nevada law. It is not legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship.
